Sushi lovers beware!
A lot of Japanese restaurants are in fact owned and managed by Chinese people. That may not be a problem (i could probably open an Italian restaurant in Mexico, i think, though i am French), but it could be surprising. Recently, my tiny pieces of fish arrived on top bulky balls of rice AND accompanied by an extra bowl of rice. That’s when i gathered the chef wasn’t from Tokyo. The Mandarin-speaking waiter later confirmed it.
